A generative identity project, drawing type with thousands of vibrant light traces.
FIELD designed a bespoke software system which simulates flow patterns of thousands of particles, alighting the letterforms they get attracted to.
The vividness of the flow patterns, reminiscent of the self-organising patterns of nature, create a dynamic and ephemeral set of typographic shapes.
Created in 2007 for a festival´s lounge and club: the DokfestLounge of the Kassel Documentary Film Festival presents a 4 nights’ program of experimental audiovisual performances, VJing and parties.
The cinema trailer pulled festival goers from the screenings into the lounge.
Projected wallpapers filled the space on the early evenings. Still renders were used for the printed matters and slide projections on location.
