The Islands of Jacob Magraw

May 31, 2010 in Art Process

Jacob Magraw creates landscapes as detached floating objects, surrounded and streaked by fantastic colour veins. Sometimes cross sections reveal the inside of his islands (an aspect that we already liked in the work of Josh Keyes).

Jacob works with gouache and watercolours with a great sense of colour palettes. He lives on an island in the Strait of Georgia between the US and Canada – for sure and inspiring place to work.
